A selection of photo's showing the spur into Aberthaw (Lafarge) Cement Works. This section although still intact has not been used since the turn of the century. At one time there were ?? trains a day/week supplying coal from 'Tower' colliery. The coal was unloaded in an unusual way in that there was no shunter on site so the BR loco had to split the train into three/four sets and do it's own shunting into the unloading station.
