A good crowd embraced this Welsh Cup encounter. An early goal by Haverfordwest did not open up the floodgates that happens quite often between these levels. After getting an equaliser Brecon conceded a cracking goal from O’Sullivan to put the away side back in front. There then followed two incidents which in reality finished the game off. First Brecon had a player sent off for a straight red card incident and they then conceded a third goal just on half time. Haverfordwest scored a fourth goal early in the second half which led to a pretty lack lustre 30 min’s until Brecon pulled a goal back, this proved too little too late as Haverfordwest finished the game off with seconds to go. If the Brecon defence had heeded the advice being shouted out by the keeper the score line may not have seemed so one sided.
