An early converted penalty from Chris O’Sullivan was enough to put Haverfordwest into the next round. Steffan Williams needlessly had his shirt pulled in the sixth minute. Although Cambrian had a player sent off with a straight red card for a tackle from behind, Haverfordwest didn’t take advantage of it. The game was far from settled until the final whistle by which time darkness and the bitter cold beckoned.
